Domestic Violence

Angela, a divorced mother of two, was a domestic violence survivor who came to Hannah’s Family Center after 4 years of litigation in Family Court. By that time, her situation was dire: Angela was suicidal and struggling with mental health concerns.  The children were traumatized and suffering in their peer relationships and in school. Angela was having difficulty co-parenting with a high-conflict co-parent and the tensions permeated family life. Angela and her children needed to rebuild their family and heal. Over the next four years, our staff counseled and supported  this vulnerable family through our Center’s network of services for domestic victims and their children.  Today, the family is stable and successful. “The tools I learned at Hannah’s Family Center helped me to achieve personal and professional growth. I now live in peace” says Angela.
